Child labour is a sensitive issue. However in the developing world children have to work in order to survive. This toolkit encourages companies in the textile and garment industry to work together in order to improve the working conditions for children and young people.

The toolkit provides companies in the garment industry with:

• Guidelines to provide the best possible work conditions for children
• Guidelines “how to treat children in ways that respect their rights”
• Guidance on how to prevent child labour
• What corrective actions to take if children are found to be working
